Certificate & Workshop Options
“This workshop was fantastic and really deepened my understanding of intercultural considerations as they relate to my work as a therapist and beyond. Thank you so much. One of the best trainings I’ve attended.” — recent workshop participant
Bookmark Connections’ Certificate Program
Applied Intercultural Frameworks Certificate
Want to communicate that you completed a training that was more than just a typical workshop in this special area? — that is the goal of the new Applied Intercultural Frameworks Certificate
Every spring, Cheryl plans to offer her 5-day comprehensive workshop (see upcoming Events for the April 2025 workshop), which is needed to complete the certificate
This is optional and separate from the CE process; there is an additional fee for the certificate — make sure to register separately for the certificate
In order to complete the certificate, you will need to meet with Cheryl for about 30 to 45 minutes to discuss your response to some questions (questions will be provided at the beginning of the workshop) — you must demonstrate a sufficient understanding of the material and will get feedback in real time through our discussion. You have until the end of the first day of the workshop to decide if you want to complete the certificate or not.
Please note, similar to all of Cheryl’s workshops, the certificate is not a train-the-trainer program; it is also not a certification program — those types of programs are usually very expensive and I prefer to keep my trainings more accessible
Once you complete the certificate, you are welcome to take the 5-day workshop for less than 50% of the cost in the future, as many times as you want — if you have taken a workshop with me, you know that I always work to make the next workshop better than the last one and that people enjoy repeating workshops with me in order to absorb the material more deeply
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions
Workshop Options
COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS: Not listed below, but I also do a 1.5 to 2.5 hour trauma-informed Polyvagal workshop entitled, A Nervous System Approach to Dealing with Emotions and Anxiety (does not cover any intercultural material). Only offered in the evening or Saturdays.
GENERAL WORKSHOPS: For mental health professionals and others, please see the Upcoming Events page for the 3 to 4 annual workshops that I offer for CE credit (they are not listed on this page). For example, these include my supervision workshop and comprehensive 5-day workshop.
FOR ORGANIZATIONS: These are the general outlines for each workshop (it should also give you an idea of what is realistic to fit in various timeframes), however, these components may be tailored to your organization’s needs as well.

I am PHASING OUT all half-day workshop options (possible exception is a 4-hour half-day version of the Part III option listed — the nervous system applications one), due to decreased effectiveness.
